BIOGRAPHY
Kathy Kolosky retired police officer, body building champion, and certified personal trainer became involved in fitness, aerobics and weight lifting in 1980. She initially started exercising and lifting weights to lose weight and get in shape and later became interested in bodybuilding where she became one of the original card-carrying members of the American Federation of Women’s Bodybuilders. After many years of national competition, Kolosky won the overall title in the USA Bodybuilding Competition in 1997. She is a judge with the National Physique Committee that sanctions women in the body building/fitness profession. She has trained numerous athletes preparing for myriad competitions. Kolosky herself competed in the Women's Physique World Strength Extravaganza. The Strength Extravaganza entails competing against the world's strongest women in the bodybuilding, power lifting, and fitness world. In 1994 she placed 7th and in 1995 and 1996 she placed 4th in the contest. Bodybuilding is only one of Kolosky’s joys in life; she served for 10 years as a police officer for the city of Jacksonville, and there was a physical training and defensive tactics instructor. Her interest in law enforcement started while in high school as a participant in the police apprentice program. Her father served as a reserve officer of the Buffalo Police, giving her the opportunity to watch him work first-hand. Kolosky’s police worked included serving as a D..A..R..E officer while in the Community Affairs Division, and served as a guest speaker to civic groups, students, and battered women. In Florida, Kolosky was a 10-year veteran promoter of health and fitness events. Currently, she serves as a committee member of the Girls Night Out Lehigh Valley, a nonprofit that raises funds for awareness of domestic abuse. Kolosky operates All Star Health and Fitness a Personal Training and Promotion company in Bethlehem. Since relocating to the Lehigh Valley in 2005, the Smartest Loser Event is her latest effort to bring health and fitness awareness to the Lehigh Valley. "Motivating and educating people to live a healthier and fit lifestyle is my mission". Kathy is married to her husband Richard, and lives in Northampton County.
